Masjid Jamek Kuala Lumpur

Masjid Jamek is one of the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur. It is situated where the Sungai Gombak and Sungai Klang meet. It is built in 1909 and used as the main mosque before Masjid Negara is opened in 1965. This is inspired by Munghal architecture of India and designed by Arthur Benison Hubbock.
There are three domes surround the prayer hall.
The mosque is opened to tourists till 4 PM every day.

This mosque is called as "Friday Mosque" which is flooded with crowd up to the street and the LRT Station. This mosque is also close to other tourists attraction like, Little India, Petaling Street, Dataran Merdeka and Central Market.

  1. Sungguh terkenal Masjid Jamek KL ini. Bukan hanya masjidnya sahaja, nama itu juga membawa maksud tempat shopping, juga memberitahu tentang stesen LRT yang menjadi pusat utama dan nadi untuk bergerak ke merata penjuru lain.

    Masjid ni ada kenang2annya...masa tu baru kawen, kena buat outstation design kedai emas kat wisma equity jln ampang, masa tu bulan puasa...dari KLCC naik LRT ke masjid jamek, lepak2 kalau takde meeting...pastu masa bukak puasa berbaris ambik makan ngan ramai org termasuk la bangla2...kalu org tengok memang ingat ni bangla ni...hehehhe...
    Kenangan terindah..!!!
