Kashmir Paradise on Earth (2) - Memorable time in Gulmarg

Gulmarg

Today was second day we were in Kashmir.. and today was our trip to Gulmarg.. During my trip in 2012, i failed to come here.. Tapi tu lah.. ALLAH is the best planner.. due to the time (delayed Spring), the members of the group had a chance to see and to play with the snow.. MASYALLAH.. semua sudah ditentukan ALLAH.. Gulmarg  is a town, a hill station, and a popular skiing destination. It is located about 52km from Srinagar.. 

The journey will take about 2 hours to Gulmarg. 

The village all the way up to the Gulmarg. Gulmarg is also the heartland of winter sport in India. Even the distance is just 52km, but the journey took us about almost 2 hours. Tapi tak terasa coz of the view along the way.. MASYALLAH..

then all the way up, memang hilly.. all white and a bit green.

very nice view.. but at the same time.. scary. heee... just look down.. those yang ada penyakit gayat sure sakit perut. but me ALHAMDULILAH..i felt so interesting and wonderful moment.

then we stopped at the view point.. so we cud take pictures here..

at the back there, ada kampung. very nice. 

Then about an hour journey we stopped at one small town called Tangmarg. It is near an army camp on the road from Tangmarg, and 5 kn before entering Gulmarg.  some ada yang nak ke toilet. ya ampunnn.. so cold beb.. rasa ngeri nak ke toilet. heeee. tapi kalau tahan mau terken... nanti.. better buang kat sini.. here we also cud buy cheap jacket or winter coat.. maybe lahh.. tapi beware.. we are tourists.. takut ada yg take advantage. 

Anyways, since we stopped here atas urusan with nature, kami singgah at one simple resto.. masa ni we cud feel and see the sun shine.. so bright. Mr Fahad ordered something for us. kasi panas perut lah.. 

Hiiii.. lagi tambah panas bila si mamat ni hidang air.. suruh senyum, senyum lah dia.. hhhhhh.. kalah actors kat Mesia.

Jeles pulak yang lain bila i took his pic. so, tangkap reramai.. kasi adil..heeeee... 

okkk.. we took Masala Chai..Yang ini Fahad belanja.. thanks Fahad.. 

and Pakoda.. sedap lah weiiii.. it is like Jemput - jemput Bawang lahh.. yum - yumm..licing.. after about another plus minus 1 hrs  we arrived in Gulmarg. For information, all living in Gulmarg are only hotel employees and guests. So for those yang berangan nak stay over nite tu, fikir - fikir kan lah ye.. sure tangkap boring then sangat sejuk if u go during winter or spring. 

Here we met Fahad's friend who cud bring us to the top. Tapi kita kena berhenti dan berjalan till the station. 

at this level i started feel bit dizzy.. eeemm kurang oxygen for sure.. but kena relax.. walked slowly.. 

ha..ha...haa.. Chef CiJu pun got same problem. what to do.. but ALHAMDULILAH we managed to walk till the station.

andddd the tourists.. masyallahhh.. ramai sungguh.. orang depa lah.. maybe from South till North lah kot..from kids to adults, in fact handicapped pun ada.. yang sakit pun ada.. so it really inspired me.. meaning everything we can do if we really want to do.. no excuse. the queue was really long. but it would not take too much time. just masa kat sini kena hati - hati.. bit slippery.. i memang takut sangat.. tak nak jatuh lah gamaknya.. ALHAMDULLILAH.. the rest memang banyak membantu.. kejap - kejap tanya, Kak Yan, are you ok?.. thanks frens.. 

then time to go.. naik gondola. this gondola cud fit 6 people at one time.  for return trip it const us about INR800.. but it will cost u about IND300 if u just want to go to the first stage.

then we continued for the last stage. 

These are huts. Gulmarg has been the location of shooting of many Bollywood films like Bobby. A scene in Bobby was shot in a hut Gulmarg, that later come to be known as Bobby Hut.. But i m not sure this is  a Bobby Hut.

from our gondola we cud see more people stop at the second stage dan lepak di sini.. 

at the end, we reached the Apharwat with the altitude 13, 500 feet above sea level. 

bila i pandang sekeliling i rasa i tak mampu nak ke area snow tu. limited condition lah.. so, i just took a picture kat sini.. biarkan lah depa berseronok. for me, takat sini pun hati i sudah melongak gembira.. kurang - kurang dah sampai ke Gulmarg.. Masa kat sini pun i dah merasa sangat - sangat pening. that's why i just sat on the bench sambil layan coffee.. (mahal lah coffee dia.. dalam RM5 kot secawan kertas tu). but what to do kan.. after sometimes i feel bit ok..

and the rest pun memanjat lah ke situ.. happy lah Chef CiJu.. 

from far, i just looked at them. happy to see them happy.. ALHAMDULILAH.. so Fahad je lah yang menjaga depa tu.. Fahad pun kiranya good skier. kena lah peganag tangan Chef CiJu tu. sebab terhoyong hayang lah gamak nya tu.. he..heee.. 

at this point you cud see the military base. Nampak yang chocolate sikit tu..  and the entire hill is guarded by the army. all the times tau..

after about one hour depa kat bawah tu, time to go..

ALHAMDULILAH... suka depa..then we went back to our car.. berjalan balik ke sana.. 

then lunch time. we went to Gulmarg Golf Course. with Mr Hassan's help maka nya kami boleh lunch di sini. this place memang just for VVIP... and alhamdulilahh.. During summer with temperatues ranging from 25 to 30 C, this place attracts sports fanatics like golfers. and this place is the highest green gold course in the world. tu diaaa...

kereta di sana, dan kami berrjalan ke sini. 

nampak tu.. lecah.. tu yang kena hati - hati.. takut betul i.. takut sejarah berulang lagi.. jatuh masa travel.. tak sanggup i..

itu lah Mr Hassan. he works with Kashmir tourism. fren to Fahad. 

kami dihidangkan dengan Chicken Curry.

and Curry Vege.. even dua lauk, but we feel so satisfied. sebab sedap..ALHAMDULILAH.. it just cost us around RM100 plus.. tapi kami makan memang dengan kenyang..  siap bertambah,

then we were served with Kahwa..panas - panas..

ini lah interior in this course. 

ALHAMDULILAH after lunch kami terus balik ke Srinagar.. Muka macam tak selesa.. maybe terik matahari masa di puncak tadi.. but i was so happy. at last dapat ke puncak tertinggi.. 14, 000 feet above sea level.. Masyallah.. ALLAH maha agung.. his plan hanya dia yang tahu.. dulu tak merasa ke sini. tapi saat ini i dapat ke sini dengan cuaca sebegini.. plus dapat merasai kemeriahan bila dan reramai tu.. kalau dulu kan sesorang.. maka itu lah tak menjadi ke sini.. memula memang frust. tapi kita ni kenalah terima qada dna qadar ALLAH.. ALHAMDULLILAH  i redha.. Ok lah.. panjang kan entry kali ini.. i will do one entry just about before and after Gulmarg trip.. see ya..
