Housing style in Hanoi - Rocket House

I wanna share with you guys what i saw while traveling in Hanoi.. the unique of the housing style.  throughout Vietnam, but particularly in North centered on Hanoi, a house type called "ROCKET" or "TUBE" style. This style, tube houses,  are not as common in the middle and south Vietnam like in Saigon. there maybe houses are only one or two stories. larger garden or even wider buildings..
mostly this traditional 'Tube House' are located in Hanoi's Old Quarter.

many times Duk explained to us about the layout of the house.. the ground is used as a store, the second usually for parents and kitchen. the first married son is on the third floor. the fourth floor for extra rooms or maybe for the next married son..and at the roof for a water tank or maybe for garden..
the mixed use of space for commerce and residence remains till today.
these houses resemble tubes - a narrow face on the street (can be as narrow as 2 meters)  and a long space on the inside (the length can be up to 80 meters deep).

So, guys, while travelling in Hanoi, enjoy this view.. interesting experience.
